KAT ELT Language Teaching & Teacher Development

Language. Thinking. Connection.

Language is a tool for communication, thinking and connecting with people — not simply a school subject. I teach English, Italian and Polish, and I work with teachers and schools on Project-Based Learning and learner engagement.

Hi, I'm Katarzyna

I'm a language teacher, ELT professional and teacher trainer based in Kraków. I have taught languages to children, teenagers and adults in Poland and the UK, working with learners from beginner to advanced and near-native levels.

Languages have shaped both my education and my career. I studied Italian, later specialised academically in teaching Polish to international learners, and English became the main language of my professional life. Having been both a language learner and a teacher of several languages gives me an unusually broad perspective on how learning actually happens.

Personalised language teaching

Project-Based Learning

It is not simply a group of students making a poster.

A well-designed project creates a genuine reason to communicate. Students have clear roles and responsibilities, work towards success criteria, receive feedback, improve drafts and are accountable for the quality of the final outcome.
